Welcome to the Skiszene Altenberger – Leogang’s first ski school
Hello, my name is Gerhard Altenberger and I am the head of the Skiszene Altenberger. I invite you hereby to spend the most beautiful days of skiing in Skicircus Leogang Saalbach Hinterglemm Fieberbrunn with us.
At last, Zell am See is now connected to our skiing area via Viehhofen. That means that there’s a sensational 408 km of pistes right outside our front door. Ski-in, ski-out: thanks to the Steinberg run and the Steinbergbahn cable car, from the Krallerhof you have direct access to one of Austria’s biggest skiing areas. The combined ski pass for the Skicircus Leogang Saalbach Hinterglemm Fieberbrunn, the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See and the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun not only adds a whole new dimension to the choice of runs. It also extends your skiing season, thanks to the glacier skiing area. 408 km of ski slopes and 121 lifts including the glaciers.
The "Skiszene Altenberger" was founded in 1952 by my father, the ski pioneer Sepp Altenberger, and is Leogang’s first ski school. Our highly trained ski- and snowboard instructors with nearly 70 years of experience guarantee learning success through modern and competent teaching methods. Twice - in 2011 and 2013 – skiing school became national champion out of 130 teams as the best skiing school in Salzburg!
Whether beginners or advanced, freerider or piste lovers – here you’ll find something for everybody. Our services range from children's ski lessons in group up to private lessons for professional race training.
Skiing with the pros
The majority of our ski instructors are sedentary in and around the region of Leogang. Other ski instructors are international and teach your children in their native language.
My team and I are very pleased to welcome you here at the Skiszene Altenberger, and we promise to make your winter holidays to the best ones you ever had!
